Task1：If your parents accidentally won a large amount of money, what do you think should be done with it?

Sample answer:

Well first, I come from a quite average family. If we suddenly have a lot of money, I think first, some of it should be spent on upgrading our life insurances. Because no matter how rich a person is, it’s never wrong to save for a rainy day. Second, I have a young brother. Two sons can be great pressure for a normal couple in my country. So if it’s possible, a great part of the money should be spent to invest in real estate. And finally, to speak for myself, I wish some of the money can be used for my further education in US. I’m a good student and have great plans, I would be thrilled if that money could release part of the economical burden already set on my parents.  

Task2: Do you think college students should choose their majors soon as they are admitted, or should they choose majors in their second or third year in college?

Sample answer:

I think college students should make their major choices in the second or third year. My reasons are as follows. First, when young people graduate from high school, what they have got is only basic knowledge in whatever fields. Few of them know what their real interests and strong suits are. With one to two year in college however, they get to have the basic idea of higher education. Besides, aside from class and instructors, they get to know sophomores, juniors and seniors in college. With real conversation and survey, they will know whether they are being too ideal or too cautious choosing future academic fields.

Task3

[阅读] 学校决定关闭广播站，因为听众跟志愿者太少了。

[听力] 对话中学生反对，他提出两个解决问题的方法。首先，广播站可以提供网络节目，这样学生收听就更方便了;其次，可以给志愿者学生提供学分、吸引他们参与，这样广播站就会有稳定的节目了。Sample answer:

The university is planning to shut down the radio station due to two reasons. The first one is that few students listen to the radio. And the second reason is that it's getting more and more difficult to get volunteers to do the programs. In the conversation, the woman disagrees with the plan. Her first reason is that students nowadays prefer smart phones or the internet, they don't listen to the radio any more, and the university should think about using the Internet as a platform to reach out to students. As for the second reason, the woman points out that students may not be interested in doing the programs now, but things will definitely change if the university could offer some extra credits to the volunteers.

Task4

[阅读] 文章主旨是Eminent domain，指的是政府有时会需要公民牺牲私有财产(地产)以支持市政建设。

[听力] 教授讲到他叔叔的例子。他的叔叔住在加州，政府决定造铁路以缓解交通堵塞，可铁路会穿过他的居住区。虽然这是私人地产，但这个铁路项目对于整个区域的公民非常有益，因此他叔叔的地产只能被占用，但他得到了部分赔偿。

Sample answer:

In the lecture, the professor introduces the concept of eminent domain which means under certain circumstances the government has the right to reimburse the private households for their property to maximize the benefit of the country. He offers us his own example to illustrate it. A couple years ago the government decided to build a railroad to alleviate the traffic condition around the area, and this decision would affect his uncle's property. The government then tore down his uncle's house and reimbursed him for it. At first his uncle was very upset about it. But over time, the traffic condition around that area did get a lot better.

Task5

[问题] 对话中女生碰到一个问题，她上班可能要迟到了，因为路上施工、交通太堵了，她有两个办法解决这个问题。

方案1：她可以提前15分钟下课，但是教授会复习以及布置作业，这部分很重要;

方案2：她可以调班至周末上班，但是她周末已经安排了远足活动，那天天气很好，要是不能去就太可惜了。

Sample answer:

　The woman's problem is that she's got a part-time job and she was late for work because of the traffic congestion, the situation will last like a week so she might be late again. There are two possible solutions for her. The first one is to leave for work 15 minutes earlier. And the second one is to change a shift at work. If I were in her shoes, I'd go for the second solution because I'm sure she can work it out with one of her colleagues, they'll understand if she asks nicely, plus it's only a part-time job, she doesn't have to take it that seriously. I personally don't recommend the other solution because the 15 minutes she misses can be really important; she's going to miss out on some pretty valuable things if she left early.

Task6

文章主旨是两种水源受到污染的原因。第一种原因是沉积物增加，比如说水源附近有施工项目，那么泥沙就可能会进入河道污染水源。第二种是富营养化，农业灌溉时会把肥料带入水中，造成水藻疯狂生长，从而影响生态平衡，污染水源。

Sample answer:

In the lecture, the professor talks about two reasons of the reduced water clarity. The first reason is sediment. Let's say there's a railway being built around a lake, with all the construction going on, a lot of soil gets washed down into the lake and thus reduce the water clarity of the lake. The second reason is the extra nutrients of plants. For example, farmers today fertilize the plants with fertilizers and the plants get a lot of nutrients, thus they would grow faster and better. But over time they cover up the surface of the lake and this blocks the sunlight which reduces the clarity of the water as well.

本次考试仍然是老题拼盘,。独立题Task2命中，两道题目皆为常规题型意见类及教育类，相信考生们能够轻松应对。随着人物类和地点类话题的比重的下降，事件类和意见类话题占据主导地位，这类题目对于考生的要求除语言表达本身，更多在思维上有广阔的脉络和清晰的逻辑。综合题Task3为学校政策类常规题目，Task5学生问题是兼职工作与学业冲突的校园常见题目，针对Task4，出现了社会学相关内容，亦是四题的常规学科，task6则是环境科学相关内容，综合题目未命中，但难度适中。

针对口语考试，如果说提高语言表达能力是根本，锻炼出清晰的逻辑才是制胜的关键，单纯从语言角度纠正语音、提高语速已不能满足ETS对考生们的新要求，在答案内容、思维模式、逻辑结构上更需要考生们在日常练习中逐渐提升质量，只有这样才能在考场中将内容和语言均发挥到极致。刷题的过程中应当注意积累语料素材，把同类题目整合，尽量做到答案能够举一反三，注意总结不同题目间的关系，灵活地运用相同的素材到不同的题目中。口语是输出性技能，只有多张口才是口语进步的原动力。说的过程通过录音的方式记录下来，既能帮助考生们习惯录音的感觉，更能方便考生回顾自己的答案，以便更清楚地了解自己的不足。最后预祝大家在考试中拿到自己理想的成绩！
